Cavalier King is the project of Brooklyn based singer/songwriter Chris Taylor. Spanning hard rock to indie rock to synth pop, Chris is out playing the songs acoustically and releasing a host of new works. "Fiddlehead's Tragedy of the Cavalier King" is the wider epic story of a quixotic fantasy hero who inadvertently annihilates the world in his vain attempt to save his true love and himself from the perilous clutches of evil. He fails to ever become a Cavalier or a King, however, and on his tragic path inevitably learns that revenge is the poison undermining his endeavors. Many of Chris' songs are written within this context, insofar as the Fiddlehead character is the jester-bard narrating the story, and is the raconteur of many such tales, poems and love songs.
